Ukrainian Heritage Month – Nov. 27

On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Sheref Sabawy, Member of Provincial Parliament for Mississauga—Erin Mills, introduced Bill 215, the Ukrainian Heritage Month Act, 2024. The legislation would, if passed, proclaim the month of September as “Ukrainian Heritage Month,” a time of to recognize the significant accomplishments of Ukrainian-Canadians and celebrate their heritage and culture.

This bill will be put forward in the Ontario Legislature for second reading debate on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 following the completion of the House’s other business for the day.

Location: Queen’s Park Legislative Building (1 Queens Park, Toronto, ON M7A 1A8)

Those interested in attending to witness this occasion are encouraged to RSVP below. Seating in the legislature galleries is available on a first-come first-serve basis. Tours of the Queen’s Park building are available throughout the afternoon. Visitors must pass through security to enter the building and to enter the galleries.
